Peer-review process

The International Journal of Integrative Pediatrics and Environmental Science follows the peer review system for each article published.

  • Manuscript topics are normally approved by senior editors. A double-blind peer review is conducted in collaboration with editorial board members and independent referees appointed by the editorial team of the journal.
  • In case of a theme issue on a particular topic, the appointed Guest Editor is responsible for conducting peer review and submitting full review reports along with accepted manuscripts for the journal.
  • We encourage our editorial teams to use the electronic submission and peer-review system to facilitate the double-blinded peer-review process and support thorough record keeping.
  • Each article is blinded and forwarded to at least two independent specialists in the field. Only after receipt of the two peer reviewers’ comments, questions, criticism, and approval to publish (as is, with minor revisions, or with major revisions, do we move forward. The manuscript with the two peer reviewers' input and the constructive criticism of the Editor-in-Chief is returned to the authors for revision. When the revisions are sufficient to satisfy the reviewers and editor the article is published. Articles that do not meet these requirements are rejected.
